Sounds like things went very well. BTW, nice legs. 8:-)

Bravo! I've come to find that, generally (at least here in Mississippi), Sunday matinee crowds are little ol' blue-haired ladies from church with their church entourage in tow. And I guess it's simply out of the question for them to really laugh...you catch a dainty little simper every now and then, though.

Ok, so you look cute enough in drag...

...sorry Strix, he's coming with me now that he's as close to being a girl as he's ever going to get. ;-)

In all seriousness, congratulations Daryl, you are one of those people, who's example should teach us. You teach us that we should all aspire to stretch our comfort levels, and create, or seize experiences for the things we haven't yet experienced. One of the things I love most about vox is that my friends here teach me so very much.
It is so odd how one audience gets it and one does not...
I just went to see one of my clients productions of little shop.
The production was fabulous with quite a bit of new topical stuff sprinked about and the "usual" audience (70-90 year olds with hearing problems) just did not get it. I was cheering and jumping to my feat and they were just staring.

Comedy is FABULOUS to perform - I'm so glad you had good audiences too.
There is NOTHING better than bringing laughter bubbling forth. (gads that sounds ghastly) You know what I mean. I miss doing improv - where I could adjust what I was doing to turn the blank looks into chuckles.
I'm not sure I think fast enough to do improv, but it would be fun to try. There was so much back and forth in Love, Sex, and the IRS that one dropped line meant that the other actors had to ad lib it back on track, and that happened a couple of times. We did it pretty seamlessly, I think.
